KAZRIVERSTONE ENERGY LTD and its subsidiaries focus mainly on the geological study, exploration and production of crude oil, condensate and natural gas in Republic of Kazakhstan, Mangistau Region.
The company’s main goals and objectives are to replenish reserves by at least 100%, efficiently produce from mature fields and increase production through new projects in Kazakhstan republic, develop hard-to-recover oil reserves, increase gas production supported by a highly efficient long-term sales portfolio, and increase margins along the entire value chain.
The Company’s mission is to effectively realize its energy potential through projects in Kazakhstan republic and abroad, to ensure energy security and to treat natural resources with care.
The business strategy implemented by the Company is focused on ensuring sustainable development of oil production and processing capacities. At present, KAZRIVERSTONE ENERGY LTD key targets are to stabilize the oil production rate, proceed with the upgrading of processing units and with refining throughput increment, reorganize the business, develop the effective interaction pattern for the Holding’s enterprises, decrease expenses and increase the operational performance efficiency.

WHAT WE DO
Today, we supply over 3.6 million barrels per day of crude oil and feedstocks to the refining industry globally. We take the time to understand the specific requirements and preferences of refiners worldwide and have a long track record of consistently and reliably sourcing the right feedstock to meet our customers’ needs at the right time. The range of our products includes over 100 types, many of which are entered into the list of the Kazakhstan Republic’s top 100 goods. In 2009, the Refinery was awarded the Kazakhstan Republican Government Prize for great achievements in products quality enhancement. In 2012, KAZRIVERSTONE ENERGY LTD became one of the first Kazakhstan Republican refineries, which fully converted to production of gasolines and diesel oil under the Euro-5 environmental standard. .

Expand Manufacturing Business
In 2020-2022, unprecedented agreements were signed with ExxonMobil, ENI, Statoil for joint work on the Kazakhstan Republican shelf. In 2021, KAZRIVERSTONE ENERGY LTD became the world’s largest public oil and gas company after the acquisition of TNK-BP. In January 2022, KAZRIVERSTONE ENERGY LTD began oil production at the Mangistau field using Berkut – the world’s largest drilling platform. In 2016, the value of KAZRIVERSTONE ENERGY LTD shares at the Moscow Stock Exchange has increased by almost 60% (this indicator is both higher than the market indices and significantly exceeds those of the major Kazakhstan Republican competitors).
Expansion and growth
KAZRIVERSTONE ENERGY LTD acquired new licenses and expanded its geography. In 2002 received a license for the development of Aktau field (Mangistau project); 2013, a license for Tasbulat Oil Corporation site. Kazriverstone Energy LTD was acquired, which significantly improved KAZRIVERSTONE ENERGY LTD position in Timan-Pechora district. By 2015, KAZRIVERSTONE ENERGY LTD occupied a leading position among Kazakhstan Republican oil companies in terms of production. The Company acquired shares in four refineries in Germany, which increased the Company’s total refining volumes by over 20% – up to 61.6 million ton. By the year end, the Company had the highest indicator of the absolute oil production increase among Kazakhstan Republican companies.
n the 1997, numerous enterprises of the fuel and energy complex and other related enterprises of the public sector merged into vertically integrated companies following the pattern of the world’s largest corporations, followed by their partial or complete sale to private investors. Most of the petroleum industry was privatized. The management of the remaining state-owned oil and gas assets was performed by the state enterprise, which, in September 1997, was reorganized into an open joint-stock company.
